This largely midweek course has a very good standard of racing particularly noticeable in 2004.
Norse Dancer and Lucky Story fought out a great finish for the Group Three Sovereign Stakes in August 2004 and the smart filly Suez was in action at the course in the Listed Dick Poole Fillies' Stakes in September 2004.

Course:
Right-handed and level with a run-in of four furlongs. There is a straight one mile track. The finish is uphill which puts an emphasis on stamina.
By Road:
The racecourse is located three and a half miles southwest of Salisbury on the A3094 Netherhampton road. The main approach roads are the A360 and the A30. Free parking is available.
By Rail:
To Salisbury. A bus service between the station and the racecourse is in operation on race days.
By Air: Helicopter landing at the course by prior arrangement only.
